This is Ascension's first public release candidate. The application code is complete for this release, and the full instructional text for the Help system is already included.
Over the coming month, we will continue expanding the Help system with additional interface screenshots while building a comprehensive library of video tutorials. Ascension already includes extensive first-time visual guidance and mouse-hover tooltips throughout the operator interface.

For Linux systems, the recommended installation method is the official IEW Solutions APT repository. It downloads and installs the current Ascension package and keeps the system ready for future updates.
This signed repository method downloads the current Ascension .deb package, installs its required dependencies, and allows future Ascension releases to be installed through Debian's normal package-management system.

One platform · Two operating environments
Ascension provides supported Windows and Linux builds so production workstations, dedicated playback nodes and distributed systems can be designed around the hardware and operating environment appropriate for the job.
Deploy Ascension on supported Windows systems where familiar desktop operation, device support and production utilities are central to the workflow.
Deploy Ascension on supported Linux systems for dedicated playback, remote-node and appliance-style production configurations.
Operate browser control positions, outputs, CueBoards, timelines and remote processing as parts of the same coordinated production system.
Confirm graphics capability, storage, output hardware and network access before installation. Final supported-system details should be reviewed for the build being downloaded.
