Our Founder & President:

Greg Meisel has spent over 40 years at the intersection of hands-on audiovisual production and broadcast technology development—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Since 1979, he’s worked as a professional A/V technician on everything from corporate productions to live entertainment events. Professionally certified on Christie, Barco, and Analog Way presentation switchers, Greg has logged serious hours behind audio consoles, in video engineering positions, and running technical direction for complex multi-screen productions. But here’s what makes his career path unusual: he never stopped doing this work, even after founding ifelseWare in 2015.

That’s because his freelance production work isn’t just a side gig—it’s strategic R&D. Every challenging show he works, every problematic workflow he encounters, every conversation with frustrated operators directly informs what he builds. Greg doesn’t develop solutions in isolation from the people who need them. He is one of those people.

As President and Software Architect of ifelseWare, Greg has personally handled over 95% of the company’s product development—from electrical engineering and PCB design to firmware development, full-stack software architecture, and yes, even the marketing materials. This vertically integrated approach, combined with modern AI-assisted development workflows, allows him to move fast while maintaining the exacting standards that professional broadcast environments demand.

His flagship product, the Aion Timecode System, represents everything he’s learned about precision timing, broadcast infrastructure, and live production requirements synthesized into one solution. It’s a GPS-disciplined PTP Grandmaster clock and universal timecode converter that delivers frame-accurate conversion across all professional formats—at a price point that disrupts the traditional market by thousands of dollars.

Throughout his career, Greg has developed a reputation for identifying real industry pain points and building solutions that become industry standards. From pioneering digital photo proof viewing systems to creating the first practical live theater automation solution to developing professional multimedia playback applications used worldwide, he’s consistently delivered technology that solves actual problems for working professionals.

Because he knows what it’s like to be the person depending on that technology when the show’s about to start.
